Making money on the web has crossed the minds of many people, you need only do a quick search through a search engine to see that literally millions of pages of information, articles and websites have been created to tap into and answer the question "Can I make money on the internet?"

The answer is of course, well some people can and some people do, why not you?
If you do decide that this is something you're interested in (and with such small financial overheads to get a website up and going, it should be your level of interest that drives your decision) one of the most important questions you need to ask yourself is found in the question what is your niche?
While what I'm talking here is aimed mainly at the internet business of blogs, websites and affiliate marketing, it can be applied to the other methods that people mention regarding making money on the web such as surveys, games/testing and mystery shopping. If you're not interested in answering questions, playing games or shopping, then these methods are unlikely to ever pay you enough to do them.

But back to the internet business discussion. It is considered by some, that there are 3 markets for an internet business, Health, Wealth and Lifestyle.

A niche is a small area of one of those markets, eg Self Development is a niche of the Lifestyle market; Working from Home is a niche of the Wealth market; Diet and Supplements would be in the Health market.
Many websites have been created to show you how to make money online, in the Wealth market. This is great if the niche you're interested in is within the Wealth market, but of less value if your interests actually lie in the Health or Lifestyle markets.
So which market and niche are you interested in most?
If you're not sure, try asking yourself these questions.

· What do I enjoy talking about with friends, family, colleagues,

Making sure you choose the correct market, and a niche that you have an interest in will be the difference between doing work you can enjoy and doing a job to make money.

The content creation was completely from an external source. With thousands of visitors a week they were able to have many adverts shown to thousands of eyes.
Now they have to make sure the site has plenty of storage, that it is always live and do any maintenance that is needed as well check each article to make sure that they fitted within the sites rules so there is now plenty of work for the Ezine people to do, they just don't need to worry about content which for an online business is the biggest issue.
They now have a paid membership service that gives the big article writers a quicker submission service where they can upload more than the free account and get them live quicker. Ezine Articles are cashing in from a monthly premium service, and yet the content for the site is still from an external source.
You pay them and still provide the sites content, the content that helped it become a massive content rich site.
